1965 Pittsburgh Pirates Team-Signed Ball with Clemente

Official National League (Giles) ball signed in black ink by the following twenty-four members of the 1965 Pittsburgh Pirates: Clemente ("6"), Walker (Mgr., sweet spot, clubhouse), Stargell (clubhouse), Mazeroski (clubhouse), Friend, Schwall, Crandall (clubhouse), Alley, Bailey (clubhouse), Clendenon, Gibbon, Virgil, Veale, Pagliaroni, Carpin, Sisk, Face, Cardwell, Lynch, May, Wood, Virdon, Rodgers (clubhouse), and one other (illegible). The year "1965" is written in blue ink over the ball label. Signatures are all fairly uniform in grade, averaging "6/7." This is a beautiful ball and the Clemente signature all alone makes it a signed item that would be a significant addition to many types of collections. With Clemente single-signed balls selling for thousands of dollars ($10,000 or more in some cases), it is easy to see the great value that a beautiful team-signed ball such as this represents.
