Superb high-grade collection of fifty-four different (of the 88 in the set) 1971 Topps Brady Bunch cards, based on the popular TV show. The Brady Bunch was a sensation in the 1970s, and one of the few television shows of the early 1970s to survive with its popularity intact to this day. Brady Bunch fanatics will remember that Don Drysdale once visited the Bradys to offer some pitching tips. As we know, none of the Brady boys ever made it to the Majors, but they did get their own bubble-gum card set! When The Brady Bunch first hit the airwaves in 1969, Greg couldn't even shave. By the time the series was retired in 1974, Greg was practically a gorilla. One of the defining TV families of the American cultural landscape, the Bradys live on, suspended in time, both on Nick at Nite and in this classic nonsport set. All fifty-four cards have been graded and encapsulated by PSA. The PSA grades are as follows: Eight MINT 9: #27 (only two graded at this level, none graded higher), 47 (highest graded), 49 (only two graded at this level, none graded higher), 62 (highest graded), 72 (highest graded), 80 (highest graded), 82 (highest graded), and 83 (highest graded). Four NM-MT+ 8.5: #31 (highest graded), 38 (only two graded at this level, none graded higher), 56 (only one graded at this level, just one graded higher), and 60 (highest graded). Twenty NM-MT 8: #21, 22 (none graded higher), 26 (none graded higher), 29 (only one graded higher), 32 (only one graded higher), 34 (only one graded higher), 36 (none graded higher), 43 (none graded higher), 48 (none graded higher), 52 (only one graded higher), 58 (only one graded higher), 63 (none graded higher), 65 (none graded higher), 69 (none graded higher), 73 (only two graded higher), 74 (none graded higher), 79 (none graded higher), 81 (only two graded at this level, none graded higher), 86 (only one graded higher), and 87 (none graded higher). Twenty-two NM 7: #5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 17, 19, 20, 23, 33, 35, 42, 50, 51, 53, 64, 67, 75, 76, 77, and 84. Many of these cards are the highest (23 cards) or second-highest (7 cards) graded examples in the PSA Population Report. This outstanding collection represents 60% of the set, and is a tremendous foundation for the building of an extremely high grade complete set. The total SMR value for the assigned grades is $3,440 (there is no SMR value for the NM-MT+ 8.5 grade, so the four examples graded at this level were calculated using the NM-MT 8 value). Total: 54 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000+. SOLD FOR $5,333
