Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Out of the 10,064 examples of Nolan Ryan's rookie card that PSA has graded to date, only one example has ever been graded higher. This is an extraordinary ultra-high-grade rookie example of Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan, one of the keys to the 1968 Topps set and one of the most famous of all Topps cards. The 1968 Topps set is prone to many different problems, including centering issues and print quality. This card is virtually flawless in all respects. The centering is near-perfect. All four corners are razor sharp. The colors are vibrant and bold. The reverse is perfectly clean and centered toward the top left. This card would be at home in any world-class Hall of Fame or rookie-card collection and would be a significant upgrade to any PSA Registry set. This is a spectacular ultra-high-grade example of one of modern card collecting's great classics. Reserve $10,000. Estimate (open).
