Presented is one of the finest complete sets of 1952 Topps cards ever assembled. This is an astounding set. All 409 (set of 407 plus two variations) cards have been encapsulated and graded by PSA. Included are 228 NM-MT 8, 164 NM 7, and just seventeen cards grade lesser (EX-MT 6), for an average grade of 7.516. All 407 cards are included plus the rare error cards of #48 Page and #49 Sain for a total of 409 cards. This ultra high-grade set has been assembled one card at a time by an extremely dedicated collector with an uncompromising commitment to condition and eye-appeal over a period of many years, actively seeking to upgrade every card of this set during the entire span of his collecting. This is a world-class investment-grade set of the most important issue in the entire world of postwar card collecting. We have never before offered or even seen in person a 1952 Topps set that comes close to comparing with the extraordinary results of this great effort.
A complete set of 1952 Topps is noteworthy in any condition, especially because of the rare high-number series cards (#311-407). Eighty-four of the ninety-six rare high-number cards grade Near Mint or better (twenty-seven NM-MT 8, fifty-eight NM 7 including #311 Mantle, twelve EX-MT 6). The grades for the every card of the entire set can easily be accessed online on the PSA Registry under "Robert Edward Auctions" (http://www.psacard.com/set_registry/display_cards.chtml?rsetid=64609&alltime=no&rank=9&tied=0&requesttimeout=9999).
For additional convenience, we are also providing here the grades of all twenty-three Hall of Famers and additional key cards:

This is the eighth-highest graded set on the PSA Registry, with four of the higher-graded sets belonging to legendary PSA Hall of Fame collectors. This is an extraordinary offering of one of the highest-grade complete sets of one of baseball card collecting's premier issues. This is a set which comes with a built-in "insurance policy." It can always be broken up, and depending on what it sells for, a buyer might actually be rewarded for doing so. Our consignor has elected to offer this collection in complete set form rather than breaking the set up into a number of more affordable units to maximize value. So much time, effort, and work has gone into its assembly, that it was the consignor's desire to sell the set intact as a single unit. The SMR value of the set exceeds $160,000. We have found that the actual selling prices of extremely high-grade cards from the most popular sets such as 1952 Topps are often far greater than those listed in SMR. It is also a given that the SMR cannot begin to quantify the time and effort that is required to put together a set of this extraordinary quality. We realize that potentially few collectors can seriously consider buying a complete set of this caliber, but for those who can consider such a commitment, this set represents a remarkable and unique opportunity. The set includes a stunning NM 7 example of the #311 Mickey Mantle rookie card, which alone has long been recognized as one of card collecting's most famous and valuable cards. The 1952 Topps set has always been one of card collecting's most revered sets. It shares this honor with only a handful of classic baseball card issues such as T206, Cracker Jack, and 1933 Goudey. It is the premier postwar baseball card set. This is one of the finest sets ever assembled of the classic 1952 Topps issue. Total 409 cards (complete set of 407 cards plus two variations).
