Graded VG + 3.5 by PSA. This is the only example graded at this level by PSA with just two graded higher. Presented is an extraordinary W600 Sporting Life cabinet of legendary Hall of Famer Honus Wagner. This is a magnificent example of one of the rarest, most impressive, and most important of all Wagner cards. W600 Sporting Life cabinet cards have always been held in esteem by advanced collectors and are universally recognized as among the most substantial, highest-quality baseball card sets ever issued. Two poses of Wagner were issued in W600: in uniform and in street clothes. The offered in-suit pose is a particularly noteworthy card as it represents Wagner's true rookie card (as much or more so than the E107 Wagner which was issued in 1903 and features the very same image). This example is in spectacular high grade. It is rare to find any W600 in such high grade, let alone Hall of Famer Honus Wagner. Bright, fresh, and clean, with slight even corner wear, and a flawless portrait image. On the left edge of the reverse are a few light spots of toning, as well as a minor crease on each corner (more advanced on the upper two), otherwise perfectly clean. This is an exceptionally attractive example of one of Honus Wagner's rarest and most noteworthy cards from one of the most significant sets of the twentieth century. Reserve $50,000. Estimate $100,000+.
