Graded NM 7 by PSA. Beautiful and absolutely stunning high-grade example of one of Babe Ruth’s most classic cards, #181 with green background from the 1933 Goudey series. Bright and clean, both front and back, with perfect registration, strong colors, and very light wear to square corners. Centered slightly toward the bottom right. Bold green print on the off-white reverse. Goudey cards featuring Babe Ruth are among the most recognizable of all vintage cards in the hobby, and they are on almost every list of the greatest cards ever issued, including PSA's Top 250 Sportscards in the Hobby set, based on the book Collecting Sports Legends: The Ultimate Hobby Guide, by Joe Orlando, which selects the most significant cards from all the different sports. Collectors are beginning to appreciate how scarce superb high-grade examples really are, with cards in the extreme high grades, such as this, realizing exceptionally strong prices recently.
