1985 Topps Garbage Pail Kids Stickers #8a Adam Bomb Checklist PSA GEM MINT 10
Graded GEM MINT 10 by PSA. A remarkable ultra-high-grade example of the most popular figure from the 1985 Topps Garbage Pail Kids series: Adam Bomb. Clearly a parody of Coleco's popular Cabbage Patch Kids dolls (which ultimately led to a trademark infringement lawsuit), Topps Garbage Pail Kids cards were the brainchild of Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Art Spiegelman (of Maus graphic novel fame), who was also the main creator of Topps Wacky Packages. Each sticker features a humorously drawn cartoon kid with a rhyming, alliterative, or word play nickname. Topps Garbage Pail Kids stickers were an instant hit with youngsters, with many schools banning them because of their edgy content and the distractions they were causing. Presented is the extremely desirable and most popular card introduced in the first ever set released. This card is a gem! Four sharp corners, bold colors, perfect centering, and a crisp image. A tremendous opportunity to acquire the highly coveted posterchild figure from the Garbage Pail Kids franchise. Opening Bid $10. Estimate (open).
