Graded VG 3 by SGC. St. Louis Browns. Very pleasing example of the rare Ray Demmitt, St. Louis American T206 variation. This card is part of a fresh-to-the-hobby collection consigned to this auction. Polar Bear was the only company to issue this T206 variation, thus no doubt contributing to its significant rarity. T206 cards issued with Polar Bear tobacco were not well protected from the accompanying product, thus almost all Demmitts have significant condition problems, including at least some tobacco staining. This example has light staining, excellent centering, and fresh colors. This is a very attractive example of one of the rarest and most condition-sensitive cards in the classic T206 White Border set.
