Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Of the 111 examples graded to date by PSA, only four examples of this card have ever been graded higher! The 1915 Cracker Jack is understandably one of Honus Wagner's most striking and popular cards. This is a magnificent high-grade example, extremely attractive, and obviously from a "factory set," virtually untouched by human hands. Cards from this series were available direct from Cracker Jack by mail in 1915 in a complete "factory set" while individual Cracker Jack cards were also packaged with each box. Cards issued in boxes tend to have various condition problems, including caramel staining. The "Flying Dutchman" is one of the big four key cards in the set, along with Ty Cobb, Christy Mathewson, and Joe Jackson. This card is well centered, with outstanding color, perfect registration, an extremely bold red background, and virtually flawless square corners. Clean, boldly printed reverse. The card would be a welcome addition to any world-class collection of Cracker Jack, Honus Wagner, or Hall of Fame cards. An exceptionally attractive high-grade example of one of prewar card collecting's most popular and classic cards. Reserve $10,000.
