Graded VG 3 by SGC. Presented is a strong mid-grade example of the key card from the classic T201 Mecca Double Folders set, featuring Hall of Famers Ty Cobb and Sam Crawford of the Detroit Tigers. T201 Double Folders are one of the most condition-sensitive of all tobacco-card issues. The thin stock on which they are printed makes them especially susceptible to soft corners as well as to very slight wrinkles, creases, and edge wear. These cards were designed to be played with, folded up and down, so it is not surprising that normal handling would result in few truly high-grade examples surviving. This is an exceptional mid-grade example of the key card in the set. It is bright and clean, with fresh colors, perfect registration, and honest corner wear. Boldly printed reverse. This is an attractive example that would be a worthy addition to any high-quality T201, Ty Cobb, or classic prewar Hall of Fame card collection. Reserve $10.
