Graded VG/EX 4 by SGC. Outstanding mid-grade example of Babe Ruth from the 1928 F50 Harrington's Ice Cream set. The set is identical in design to several other issues of the era, such as Tharp's Ice Cream, Sweetman, and Yuengling's Ice Cream, but with advertising for Harrington's Ice Cream on the reverse. Collectors have always appreciated the rarity and primitive charm of this distinctive issue. The offered example of Ruth displays a crisp image, honest corner wear, and centering toward the bottom left. Boldly printed reverse. Please note the card is slightly diamond cut. This is a strong example of the key card of Babe Ruth from this unusual and scarce 1920s set and would be an ideal addition to any Babe Ruth, Hall of Fame, or type-card collection. Reserve $10.
