Graded VG/EX 4 by SGC (submitted by REA). The T3 Turkey Red is one of Christy Mathewson’s most impressive and classic cards. Mathewson, of course, is one of the key Hall of Famers in the Turkey Red set, which is universally recognized as one of the most substantial and beautiful sets ever produced. This example is bright and crisp with bold colors, light wear to the corners, and centering slightly to the left. There is a small surface chip on the upper-left edge. The checklist (with offer) reverse is lightly toned. This example provides collectors a rare, relatively affordable alternative to a far more expensive high-grade example without compromising on many of the most important visual qualities of the card. A very attractive example of one of card collecting's great classics in an extremely desirable grade. This outstanding card originates from the collection of legendary pioneer collector Paul Pollard.
