Presented is one of vintage-card collecting's most recognizable icons and the key card of the 1911 Turkey Red Tobacco cabinet-card series: #9 Ty Cobb. Besides being the most valuable card in the set, it is also one of the most desirable and striking of all Ty Cobb cards. This example displays vibrant colors and a strong image of Cobb. The condition of the card is Pr due to a number of condition issues, most noticeably heavy creasing and corner wear. The checklist back (with offer) is boldly printed. Despite these flaws, this is a presentable example of this classic card. The classic Turkey Red set is considered by many to be the most beautiful and well-made tobacco set ever issued.
