Graded VG+ 45 by SGC. Solid example of legendary Hall of Famer Babe Ruth from the 1930 W554 series. W554 cards are printed on heavy stock measuring 5 x 7 inches and depict the player in a sepia-toned image along with a facsimile signature, with the player identification along the bottom border. The images used in this set are identical to those used in the R316 Kashin Publications series. The card displays outstanding image quality, honest corner wear, and centering toward the right. The blank reverse is mostly clean. Light creasing around the top right corner and a few surface wrinkles on the reverse are noted for accuracy. This is an extremely rare card of Babe Ruth from the W554 issue, one of the most spectacular large-card sets of the era. Reserve $10.
