Graded VG 3 by SGC. Superb example of this classic tobacco card featuring Hall of Famer Ty Cobb with an uncommon and desirable Sovereign 350 Cigarettes back. Sovereign is an unusual back, certainly not in the same league as Drum or Uzit but very unusual and seen less often than most other advertising backs. The T206 Ty Cobb portrait, red background pose is one of the key cards in the set and one of the most recognizable cards in the T206 series. This example has brilliant colors, outstanding registration, moderate corner wear, and centering toward the left. The important Sovereign 350 advertising reverse is boldly printed. There is an unobtrusive light crease running through the lower section of Cobb's jersey noted for accuracy. This is a strong example of the legendary Ty Cobb from the most popular set of the 1910 era. Reserve $10.
