Graded VG 3 by PSA. Beautiful example of this classic tobacco card of Hall of Famer Ty Cobb from the T206 White Border series, with the reverse featuring advertising for Old Mill Cigarettes. Old Mill is an uncommon back, not in the same league as Drum or Uzit, but unusual, especially for a red-background portrait of Ty Cobb, and seen far less often the standard Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertising backs. The red-background pose has long been considered a classic Cobb card. The offered card has a brilliant red background, crisp image, honest corner wear, and excellent centering. The important Old Mill advertising reverse is clean. There is a light crease visible in the lower-left quadrant noted strictly for accuracy. This is an outstanding example of one of Cobb's most famous cards from the premier tobacco issue of the 1910 era with a desirable Old Mill reverse. Reserve $10.
