Graded GOOD+ 2.5 by SGC. Attractive example of one of Babe Ruth’s classic cards: #53 with yellow background from the 1933 Goudey series. The "yellow background" pose of Babe Ruth is, without a doubt, his most difficult to obtain and sought-after card in the 1933 Goudey set. This example has a bright yellow background, a crisp image of Ruth, honest corner wear, and centering toward the bottom right. Boldly printed reverse. A few small surface abrasions (most notably along the top right edge) and wrinkles running through Ruth's jersey factor into the assigned grade. An excellent opportunity to acquire one of Babe Ruth's classic cards from the popular 1933 Goudey Gum series and one of card-collecting's iconic cards at a fraction of the cost of a higher-graded example.
