Graded NM/MT 8 by SGC. Spectacular high-grade example of 1941 Play Ball Joe DiMaggio, one of collecting's most famous cards, featuring the "Yankee Clipper" in his familiar swing-through pose. This striking example has bold colors, a crisp image, strong corners, and centering slightly toward the right. The reverse is perfectly clean with bold text. This card tends to be very difficult to find in high grade because it is #71 of 72 cards in the set. Kids often put these cards in numerical order, naturally subjecting the first and last few card numbers to additional wear. DiMaggio's 1941 MVP season was highlighted by his 56-game hitting streak, a Major League record that stands to this day. This milestone "career year" contributes to the great popularity of Joe DiMaggio's 1941 Play Ball card. An exceptional high-grade example of one of the key cards from the 1941 Play Ball set and one of the most iconic cards of the era. Opening Bid $10.
