Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. One of only two examples graded at this extraordinary level by PSA, with none graded higher. Extremely desirable 1911 T205 Gold Border variation card of Cincinnati first baseman Dick Hoblitzell, with no statistics on the reverse. There are several variations of Hoblitzell in the T205 set. The "No Stats" version is by far the rarest. In fact, this variation card is acknowledged to be the single rarest of all cards in the T205 "Gold Border" series. Though not as well known as the greatest and most valuable tobacco-card rarities of T206, most advanced tobacco-card collectors believe the T205 "Hoblitzell No Stats" card is comparable, or even rarer, than the T206 Wagner, Plank, or Magie cards. The fact that this card is in such stellar condition, and the T205 set is so condition-sensitive, makes this card all the more noteworthy. This is an extremely high grade example, with just a touch of white showing on the upper-right corner, virtually no edge wear, bright colors, and a perfectly clean image. The "Hassan" back is off-center towards the left, but is mainly clean. This is an outstanding ultra high-grade example of T205 Hoblitzell (no stats variation), the key rarity to a master set of T205 Gold Borders, and one of the finest in existence (perhaps the finest) of one of tobacco-card collecting's most elusive rarities. Opening Bid $20,000.
