Auction: Prewar Baseball - 1910s and 1920s Cards
Graded VG+ 3.5 by PSA. Beautiful mid-grade example of one of Babe Ruth's truly great early 1920s cards. 1921 was the first year the legendary Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago issued cards. It would go on to issue sets for the next fifty years. These cards were sold by Exhibit card machines at amusement parks and penny arcades, one penny per card. This is the key card from the set and one of Ruth's earliest cards featuring him with the Yankees. The card is bright and crisp with moderate corner wear and excellent image quality. A patch of light discoloration is visible along the top portion of the blank-backed reverse. An extremely attractive example of one of Ruth’s most desirable and classic cards. Opening Bid $10.
